The Institution of Fire Engineers-United States of America (IFE-USA) Branch invites you to become a Student Member of a truly international fire service organization.

With IFE membership in 25 countries around the globe, the USA Branch puts you in touch with these diverse fire colleagues to learn from and gain valuable experience in the fire engineering realm. Additionally, you participate in all USA Branch activities including blast e-mails on key fire service issues, attend our annual general meeting, and network with key US fire service leaders.

Student membership is available at No Cost for students in fire-related studies. Student membership requires proof of current study and is limited to a maximum of five years.

IFE-USA Student Membership is available to those who are in a post-secondary educational pursuit in the field of fire engineering or related disciplines to include all fire and emergency medical services.

Application Process

To apply for the grade of Student with the IFE, email the following to membership@ife-usa.org:

1. A Completed Student Application Form
2. Evidence of Enrollment in a Fire-Related Field of Study (e.g. Transcript)

There is no application fee. If your application is successful, you will be asked to pay the difference between your existing MIFireE subscription and the FIFireE subscription in your year of successful application. You will be sent an annual renewal for the Fellow subscription annually thereafter.
